Moments of dreams, pain, happiness\u2026 all of them in the same space: a medium and my studio. Like in a diary, those feelings are unveiled trough colors and forms in order to be observed by the onlooker.<\/p>\n

Painting is a necessity; it is related to the life of every artist and is a permanent dialog between the painter and his work. The canvas is the artist\u2019s diary in which he expresses his emotions and feelings, and in which he can convey any idea, however abstract it may be, like a sound or a poem, without having the reference of a real image. The language of abstract painting doesn\u2019t intend to be beautiful or decorative; it tries to go beyond description and what is obvious, to be the vocabulary of a new language. It has to be able to convey sensations, to move, and to connect life and art.<\/p>\n

I am interested in the use of gesture linked to abstraction and automatism, in particular to abstract expressionism. I try to move the onlooker through gesture and colour; I don\u2019t try to describe but to express what I see and how I feel through those observations. I adopt, thus, the clues of a non descriptive language in which our perceptions and emotions play an important role, and in which I try to search for visual equivalents to intangible things, emotions, sensations and thoughts. It is through gestual painting that I can express my interior life and my personal vision of the world.<\/p>\n
